עַל-בָּמוֹתֶיךָ,חָלָל:
אֵיךְ, נָפְלוּ גִבּוֹרִים

Thy beauty, O Israel, upon thy high places is slain!
How have the mighty fallen!

חָלָל

Void = מקום ריק
Space – Outer Space = החלל החיצון
Dead person (refers to sudden, unnatural death)
= מת בצורה לא טבעית [חללי צה”ל חללי תאונות הדרכים]
Desecrate – Defiled = חילול הקודש
